wait, really? I haven't seen anything suggesting it reduces empathy. is the idea that your facial expressions trigger emotions not just reflect them?

How strong is the evidence for botox being actually safe? intuitively, injecting a neurotoxin near your brain might have some unintended consequences.

It's really safe (as far as we know). it's been used cosmetically for decades and also been approved for some medical treatments like migraine prevention by the FDA which is pretty conservative.
